Details about the Plunge for the Pool
The Orofino Pool invites the community to start 2026 with a splash at the first-ever Orofino Pool Polar Plunge “Plunge for the pool”, taking place January 1 at 9:00 a.m. at Orofino City Park. The event will raise funds for the construction of the new Orofino Pool at 130 Deerfield Drive behind P1FCU.
After 25 years without a public pool, this lighthearted winter fundraiser gives residents a chance to take the plunge, literally, for a great cause.
Participants can sign up individually, join a team, or support the “Too Chicken to Plunge” category by creating a team, nominating someone else while cheering and donating from the sidelines.
The event includes a costume contest, team awards, hot cocoa and plenty of photo opportunities.
Local safety personnel and volunteers will be on site to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Registration is open now!
Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and help raise funds for construction of the long-awaited Orofino Pool.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses looking to support the project and be part of a new Orofino tradition.
