About
Clearwater Community Complex, Inc. (CCCI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit formed in 2003.
CCCI was formed with one goal – bring back a community pool to Orofino.
Our Mission & Vision
Mission: Operate a public aquatic facility to increase health, water safety, and the aquatic education of Orofino’s area residents and visitors.
Vision: contributing to the quality of life for our community and for future generations through healthful, safe, fun, and welcoming aquatic experiences.

Why it Matters
In 1999, the original Orofino Pool was demolished due to age and irreparable damage, leaving two generations without safe swimming spaces or life-saving instruction.
The Orofino Pool project will meet the community’s need for swim lessons, aquatic PE, open swim, competitive training, and water safety. With Clearwater County having the oldest population in Idaho and residents traveling over an hour to the nearest pool, there is also strong demand for aquatic therapy, rehabilitation, and low-impact exercise. The heated indoor pool will include a lift and zero-entry access for seniors and those with mobility challenges.
Future Facility
The Orofino Aquatic Center will feature two beautiful pools and a modern support building:
Outdoor Pool: An 8-lane, 25-yard competition pool with deep sections ready for future diving.
Indoor Pool: A warm, welcoming recreation and lesson pool with two lap lanes, a zero-entry ramp, and shallow areas for all ages.
Support Building: Complete with family restrooms and showers, a snack bar, pro shop, lifeguard and first aid rooms, party spaces, and more.

What happened to the money originally raised in earlier years?
The Treasurer safeguarded the funds in the bank accounts until 2024. When the board was able to move forward seriously with the pool, some of the funds were used to pay for expenses associated with design and planning. The remainder of those funds are designated for the commemorative tiles.
